As of May 2, 2021, the situation in all districts and villages of the Batken region, on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border, is stable, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

According to the ministry, the border villages are under full control, the situation in the border areas is calm. No night shootings were recorded. Police officers set up checkpoints and carry out explanatory work with the local population in the border areas. All patrol groups of militia work together with voluntary national squads, heads of villages, quarterly. Also, in order to ensure the safety of the local population, police officers, together with the internal troops and other law enforcement agencies, monitor public safety.
