Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oktyabr Urmambetov coordinates the work of ensuring public safety by the internal affairs bodies and the activities of investigation teams to inspect residential premises, government buildings, retail outlets affected by the invasion of Tajikistan, and the subsequent establishment of damage. Joint patrols, consisting of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the two countries, carry out explanatory work with the population around the clock to protect and maintain law and order.

An interdepartmental investigation team has been formed to conduct a comprehensive and thorough investigation into the circumstances that led to the attack by Tajikistan.
